The Checks have a 7" out called Hunting Whales which is simply the worst thing I've heard in ages. If the guy never opened his mouth then that would be a start. It's called Hunting Whales which as we all know is a very bad thing. What would be better would be if we hunt The Checks. I'll pay a ransom or 50 quid if anyone can get 'em to stop playing this naff bluesy rock Led Zep/ Reef type affair. It makes Ocean Colour Scene sound good. This record has no redeeming features whatsoever. On the usually good Full Time Hobby... You can't get it right all the time.New single from the young and hotly-tipped New Zealand five piece, produced by Ian Broudie.
