The Xcerts with My Book Laughs which is a limited 7" and CDs on One Records. Indie rock sounding like Snow Patrol without the nappies. Power chords with Scottish vocals .... Like Aberfeldy. The B-side is an alright tune. I wouldn't buy it but can see it doing alright.Very Ltd with only 500 of each 2 trk format on One Records. I saw XCerts at the Ironworks at inverness, and instantly thought 'FallOutBoy.... but good!' I then found them on their myspace page, and they are a good falloutboy. I havent got the single yet, but my book laughs is an excellent song (not their best mind, that would be i see things differently; only a live demo so far on their myspace).
Anyway, xcerts are a good, talented band that, unlike a lot of indie music lately, is musical. Buy the single, see them on their tour, and maybe they'll release a album at some point.Rating: 5 out of 5So, what do you think? Best reviewer each month gets £10 off their next order!
