This record left our Ant feeling ecstatic.

Ceephax makes his Planet Mu debut with the Megalift EP. I reckon this is one of the finest things I've heard from him yet. 'Stir Fry Jungle' would wreck any dancefloor with it's dub chords and frantic jungle beats and slightly acidic bassline. 'Friend Track' is warm, melodic acid house territory with an almost soothing synth atmosphere.'Time Tunnel' goes straight for the jugular with some super fast four to the floor kicks, acid stabs and a quirky party atmosphere, then some breaks kick in. Eventually the whole thing just goes ballistic and you can visualize a sweaty dancefloor screaming for mercy. Bound to kill a few braincells at raves across the planet this summer. The EP ends in fine style with 'Time Tunnel Castilian' which has some spine tingling 8-bit style melodies and tough percussion. A sure fire winner this one. Ace.

Here’s the first time Ceephax appears on Planet Mu. It’s with 4 tracks. If you don’t know, Ceephax is Andy Jenkinson (from Chelmsford in Essex). He did wicked acid releases on EDMX’s Breakin’ and some more acid and ravey bits on First Cask (the Belgian label) plus a recent album on Rephlex.
The first track here is a sort of hardcore roller with trippy synths, dubby bass and an embarrassing interlude. ’Friend Track’ is ’emo acid’.
On the other side we have ’Time Tunnel’: this one has what sounds like a 909 plus the Amen break, some 303 and is the possessor of a charming melody of neither the major nor minor persuasion. Castilian (last track) is one of those IDM video game things that people will love.
