OVERVIEW: Paul Hartnoll, formerly one half of dance pioneers Orbital, will release his new single Please through KIDS on 7th May 2007. Vocals are provided by none-other-than indie hero Robert Smith of The Cure!! The CD release of Please includes exclusive non-album track Old School Tie, alongside a host of remixes across the three formats. Among the mixes is a reworking by grindie trailblazer Statik, who appeared in the NME’s annual Cool List courtesy of remixes for The Rakes and Bloc Party, and current NME nu-rave favourites The Whip, whose single ‘Frustration’ was previously released on KIDS. Also appearing is a remix by Culprit 1, one of Drowned in Sound’s Top 10 acts to watch in 2007: Hartnoll returned the favour with a remix of Culprit 1’s track ‘Tricks’, which was recently One Week To Live’s single of the week. The first glimpse of Hartnoll’s solo work came with KIDS’ release of ‘Patchwork Guilt’ in December 2006. An epic slab of progressive dance music, the track was described as "Nothing short of perfection" by base.ad
