What the label says:
Ltd Ed Numbered 7" Coloured Vinyl With Poster
TRACKLISTING: 7" A) Jolene – Solo Alternative Mix, B) Jolene – Live From Bonnaroo,
OVERVIEW: 14th Floor Records release the sublime ‘Jolene’ by acclaimed songwriter Ray LaMontagne on 7th May 2007 on CD and collector’s limited edition 7 inch, complete with poster and jasmine-coloured vinyl. ‘Jolene’ was written by Ray and produced by the gifted, single-minded producer Ethan Johns (Ryan Adams, Kings of Leon) and remixed by Chris Lord-Alge (Snow Patrol, Green Day). The B-side to the CD single is an uplifting acoustic cover of Gnarls Barkley’s ‘Crazy’, originally released as a very limited edition 7 inch and playlisted by XFM in Summer 2006. This amazing version of ‘Crazy’ by LaMontagne was described by Q Magazine as one of their ‘all time lost songs’. The coloured, numbered 7 inch vinyl contains a spectacular live version of ‘Jolene’ recorded at Bonaroo. The vinyl also comes with a free poster. ‘Jolene’ is the third single to be taken from LaMontagne’s platinum, UK Top 10 debut album Trouble. ‘Jolene’ follows the Top 10 airplay hit for the first single and album title track and the second single ‘How Come’, which featured heavily in the David Frankel film, ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, starring Meryl Streep. Ray LaMontagne headlined and sold out a UK tour throughout January and February 2007, culminating in 2 nights at London’s Hammersmith Apollo on 7th and 8th of February.
