In March DOGS firmly stamped their return with the adrenalised single ‘This Stone Is A Bullet’ and a full UK tour, including a sold-out, packed out and frenzied hometown gig at London’s Mean Fiddler.Now they return with ‘Dirty Little Shop’ their most anthemic and accessible single to date. A track that encompasses DOGS signature observations on life’s grittier side - ”the coldest place by the betting shop is by the litter bin, you lost the lot” - packed into a perfectly constructed indie-rock classic. Deliriously infectious chiming guitar riffs, fluid, distinctive bass and complex, danceable drum rhythms weave around husky vocals, as glorious verses drift into climatic, power-fuelled choruses. ‘Dirty Little Shop’ is taken from and precedes the release of DOGS’s forthcoming second album ‘Tall Stories from Under the Table', set for release in June, and is available with four brand new tracks. ‘Stay There’ and ‘Trouble With Honesty’ are included on the c.d. ‘Werewolves’ - a song inspired by the soundtrack to the band’s favourite film, ‘Grizzly Man’, and a darkly seductive bluesy track, where the band have experimented with new and diverse sounds with strikingly impressive results – is available on the flip-side of vinyl one. Finally the post-punk blast of ‘Piranhas’ is available as the b-side to vinyl two. DOGS have been confirmed to play T in the Park and Oxygen festivals this Summer.
