What we say

Rating: happy This record left our Ant feeling happy.

Regulars of these pages should be fully aware that all members of Team Norman fully endorse Panda Bear records with his bittersweet and unique ghost of Brian Wilson (yeah, I know he's still alive) sample thing. 7" 'Take Pills' sounds like a big psychedelic trip with the smurfs and has 'Bonfire Of The Vanities on The flip' and comes in a cool collage sleeve, as does the 'Person Pitch' album which is finally in on beloved vinyl. Ace stuff. If this Animal Collective member has made a bad record then I've yet to hear it. On Paw-Tracks.

What the label says:

Paw Tracks releases the fourth and final single from Panda Bear’s hugely successful Person Pitch release. “Take Pills” is backed with a live version of the non-album track “Bonfire of the Vanities” recorded at the Lisbon club ZDB in September of 2004. A music video for “Take Pills” is also in the works by Gang Gang Dance member Brian DeGraw. Limited edition of 1000 copies!

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
