Butterfly Bangs release their debut single of shambling indie pop. On The Street has hints of Libertines and other similar bands I'm too lazy to think of. This has a supremely catchy chorus and I'm utterly surprised by the fact I don't mind this at all. I was thoroughly expecting to trolly this really hard in it's face the mood I'm in but hey... I like it. Fricking catchy... 7" only on Weekender Records.BUTTERFLY BANGS ON THE STREET/ROSEMARY WORKS
Debut single by this up-and-coming band.
Formed just over a year ago, Butterfly Bangs’ first two home-made demos were picked up and playlisted by BBC Radio 1 and XFM, before this, their debut single.
Produced by Russ Keffert - previously behind the mixing desk for acts like The Rakes, Larrikin Love, Switches and Vincent Vincent and the Villains, ‘On The Street’ is an infectious slice of pop rock and roll shot through with the spirit of Dexys and Arcade Fire.
