Tilly & The Wall - The Freest Man

The Freest Man by Tilly & The Wall

4...according to our on Thu 26 Apr, 2007.

Tilly And The Wall have been going for a while now. They make happy happy music which you just couldn't fail to be cheerful at. If you're ever thinking of doing yourself in then bang on one of these folks records and you'll be throwing your razor blades in the bin and turning the oven off in now time. The Freest Man is their new 7" on Moshi Moshi and it's so happy sounding... well it just is alright. This one doesn't sound like Bright Eyes... It just sounds like chirpy 'proper' indie music to bake muffins to. There's a Hot Chip mix on the B side but I didn't get that far

Hello and welcome to ‘Freest Man’, or Tilly & the Wall unshod, as it could be deemed.  Yes, this next single from the Omaha girl-boy-girl-boy-girl combo is their first tap-free zone. Gone is Jamie Williams trademark clatter of metal blakey on road sign to be replaced by the appealing primitive beat of an Argos drum machine in all its claptrap glory. Includes HOT CHIP REMIX of "Sing Songs Along" on B side.
