Continuing with the weird and wonderful, the ever cool Kranky stable have a CD and DVD set out by LICHENS,better known to his family and friends as Rob Lowe. I'd love to think that it was 80's heart throb and star of crud ice hockey flick 'Young Blood' that created this music. This is a dreamy, haunting mix of looped vocals, drones and both electric and acoustic guitars. In places I'm reminded of a less medieval sounding Alexander Tucker. It really sounds like it was created in another time. Apparently the DVD contains a live performance. If we had time to be watching DVD's though I suspect Phil and I would like to be watching a good old bluey.
