What the label says:

Blood Sweat Tears is the third single from Eight Legs, the hotly tipped band from the new epicentre of musical activity, the Midlands. The subject of much industry buzz, these four lads (vocalist Sam Jolly, guitarist Jack Wharton, bassist Adam Neal and drummer Jack Garside) make romantic, insistent music that’s as tight as their shrink-to-fit jeans. While the first single on Weekender “Tell Me What Went Wrong” displayed Editors-style dynamics and Cure influences, Blood Sweat Tears shows a different side to the band – the nimble guitar is deceptive, as this isn’t your average happy-go-lucky pop song. On the B-side, Hopes Away reflects the heavier, more raucous side of the band’s oeuvre. Both tracks were recorded as live in the studio with producer John Fortis in Brick Lane, London, the lo-fi production perfectly capturing the raw energy and emotion behind them. The band have recently moved from hometown Stratford-Upon-Avon to London’s Wood Green to have a shot at their rock ‘n’ roll dream. They’re currently living dual lives, tending bars to make ends meet while playing gigs, rehearsing and writing as a band at every possible opportunity. The dichotomy in their lifestyles was never plainer than on their recent trip to Brazil, where they were treated like rock royalty. Performing at Sao Paulo Fashion Week, they were photographed by Vogue and appeared all over Brazil’s press and TV. If nothing else, it’s given the teenage band a taste of something to strive for. Eight Legs are one to watch this year – they have the talent, the drive and the ambition to blow your socks off.
