Pretty amazing record. I like the mixture of the old album which albini did and the added bonus of the locust weeks tracks. Go buy it!

What the label says:

Die! Die! Die! is one of the best bands to emerge from New Zealand in over a decade. With an emphasis on pummelling, primal garage-punk rhythms shot through with shard-like guitar work, the trio creates a driving sound highly reminiscent of Warsaw, Therapy? and Wire that is utterly immediate, visceral and infectious. Formed in November 2003, the band started playing as many shows as they could in both New Zealand and Australia, including support slots for Wire and Franz Ferdinand, and tours throughout the US and UK. The band recorded their debut album with Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, Shellac) at his studio in Chicago and later while in the U.S. found time to record 4 new tracks which became the ‘Locust Weeks EP’. For the first time both recordings have come together for this special UK Edition release. Things began to move very quickly from there. Having toured the US as sole support to Aussie friends Wolfmother this past Spring and a stunning debut at March 2006's SXSW Festival, the band was offered a high profile residency in NYC at The Annex in August 2006 that generated a massive amount of industry buzz. The trio headed back to the UK and received rave live reviews from NME, Kerrang!, Rocksound, Zane Lowe on Radio1 and many others in support of their first UK single, in September 2006. Die! Die! Die! finished 2006 with jaunts through Australia, Japan and their home base New Zealand where they featured at down-under's most reputable festivals Homebake and Big Day Out. This month the band return to the States for yet another tour and SXSW 2007 appearance before arriving in the UK during April, May and June to cement their fanbase here. With the highly respected Scruffy Bird PR (Bjork, Blood Brothers) overseeing the UK campaign, Die! Die! Die! are set to conquer here once and for all! Recent Press: "Losing your hearing has never been so much fun" - NME. "Die! Die! Die! have started a mini-revolution here." - The Times. “...the molten energy DDD offer should prove too much to resist" - The Fly.

About the humble CD:

The CD is essentially a small portable face mirror which has an extra feature of being able to play music (through a thing known as a CD player). These CD's are a modern invention hence them being all shiny and digital. They can hold about 80 minutes of music and apparently are indestructible as you can smear jam on them and they still play (not as nourishing as toast mind you but when you're hungry.....). They sound crystal clear and are tiny convenient things. They lack the charm and warmth of their old analogue counterparts but their portability, convenience and ease of being duplicated make them a perfect thing of a thing for most folks. Jewel cases are the worst thing ever though and they really need to stop.

'No one cares about you, you're in a unit'.
