Gorge Trio/ Uske Orchestra - Split

Split by Gorge Trio/ Uske Orchestra

4...according to our on Fri 22 Jun, 2007.

Cor blimey are we on part 6 of Ache Records' Divorce series already???? This split is by Gorge Trio who do a Jazz improv drum-athon called 'What We Agree On'. It's like The Denison Kimball Trio collapsing in on themselves after being spiked with strychnine. Uske Orchestra do a number called 'Billlling- Billllong' which is quite funny, reminding me of The Boredoms doing freaked jazz that sounds like little kids. Great.

Only 500 pressed. The 6th installment of Ache’s DIV/ORCE series, dedicated to the abolishment of finicky sub-genrifying, teams up two acts which both
utilize an open approach to music. A collision of a hundred simultaneous ideas, Belgium' Uske Orchestra steamrolls through an unsettling cartoon landscape. he bay area' free-improv mavericks, Gorge Trio, have released several full lengths, the most recent of those being on Skin Graft Records. A 'super  group'of sorts, containing members of Deerhoof, The Flying Luttenbachers, and XRBXRX, the trio has originated a distinctive concoction of syncopated free-jazz rumble and indy melody.
