I used to be a massive fan of Daniel Johnston. He's always singing about god, the devil or ghosts or death....it's all kind of connected. On the Death of Satan 7" on Munster (he's credited as Danny & The Nightmares on this one) he's on about jesus (the lord our god) killing satan. Nice. Possibly a bit religious for my tastes but the B side which is an inspired cover of Monster Mash wins hands down. There's a great picture of him on the back of the sleeve where he looks like a complete filthy tramp of a man.
