MAGGIE darlings here with my first 7" from Monkey Swallows The Universe with Little Polveir. Sweet classy female fronted pop outfit signed to Loose. They kind of got the swing your pants Camera Obscura sound with not a note out of place or a crease in the ball gowns they adorn on the sleeve. B- sides got some cool vocal harmony going on. pretty.

Named after an episode of cult TV show ‘Monkey’, this Sheffield band has built up a considerable following for its shimmering, folk-tinged melody heavy acoustic pop since its formation in 2005 . Monkey Swallows The Universe have played dates with Richard Hawley, The Long Blondes and Camera Obscura.
