BLACKSTROBE 'Shining Bright Star' is a 7 track EP with premixes from Zongamin and Oliver Waterman. The sound is a lot like Depeche Mode with the dark moody vocals and atmospheric electronic / synth pop. Not exactly an atrocity on the face of modern music but a bit trendy sounding.Produced by Paul Epworth (Bloc Party) and mixed by Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson), ‘Shining Bright Star’ is a mass of dark, gothic, electronic twists and huge basslines. With Arnaud taking on lead vocal duties, Black Strobe have created what can only be described as an acid house disco-punk anthem. ‘Shining Bright Star’ is available with extra tracks and a host of mind-bending remixes. The band’s debut artist album is due in the summer.
