The Silver Tree is the brand new solo album from the internationally renowned artist Lisa Gerrard. Now known globally for her work on major films scores such as Gladiator, The Insider, Ali and Whale Rider, Lisa is also highly respected in her own right as a musician and vocalist both as a member of Dead Can Dance and for her collaborations with artists such as Patrick Cassidy and Jeff Rona. She has also arguably been one of the most sampled vocalists in the world over the last 20 years! Largely because of her film commitments, The Silver Tree is Lisa’s first full-length release as a solo artist since her 1995 album The Mirror Pool.From the tender invocation of Come Tenderness to the delicate beats of Space Weaver, The Silver Tree reveals an artist concerned only with being true to her innermost creative urges.
