What we say This record left our Ant feeling happy. Whenever I mention ANDREA PARKER to a fellow male the first thing they say is 'She's fookin well fit her'. Such a shallow species. As well as being very nice looking she is also immensely talented and has released some wicked dark electronic tracks. She has a compilation out on her Touchin' Bass imprint that collects stuff from her releases on Apollo, Mo' Wax etc. Her sound is deeply atmospheric and has some cool clanking industrial sounding percussion. The cleverly titled 'Here's One I made Earlier' gets a thumbs up here at the towers and will have Blue Peter bosses clamoring for royalties. What the label says: *Second of two very limited (500 only) four track samplers from the critically acclaimed compilation of the same name (TB025cd). *Features four long unavailable, highly sought after tracks (see below). *Tracklist: a1 Invasion a2. About the humble 12":

The 12" is the big brother of records as it's an fatter version of the 7", with a vast scope for an array of remixes and B sides. They are slightly less portable their smaller inched brethren but they're by no means inferior. Often the grooves are spaced wider apart and thus sound much much better. You can fit ample tracks on and if worse comes to worse they make fine plates (should your crockery go awol). Yes, there's a hole but holes are easy to sort out. Once again they're available on many different colours and guises. The best thing about a 12" is the potential vastness of the artwork. Also playable on many speeds!!
