We gots two albums in from Qua on Mush.'Forgetabout' and 'Painting Monsters On Clouds' I've just clocked the press release and I'm going to quote it here. A total fucking cop out I know but it does relly sum up their sound by someone that clearly has better ears then me 'The album's eleven tracks bring to mind the playfulness of Mouse on Mars, the sophistication of Ennio Morricone and the quirky pop of Architecture in Helsinki' I think these albums were only avaiable in Australia or something but have been given the easily available treatment. Right I'm gonna do some packing for I am Pac Man.

Qua’s second album, Painting Monsters On Clouds is an unrepentant, gorgeous and nostalgic mix of sunlit electronics and guitars, buoyed by complex arrangements, and crafted by a gentle iconoclast. The album’s eleven tracks bring to mind the playfulness of Mouse on Mars, the sophistication of Ennio Morricone and the quirky pop of Architecture in Helsinki. Though the overall tone is light, the whimsical nature of the tunes often cloak their complexity and a careful listen reveals Qua’s dedication to craftsmanship and his eye toward the miniscule. Painting Monsters On Clouds is beautiful, harsh and as exciting as it is soothing the perfect second step by a sound designer continuing to solidify his own style.
