What we say

Rating: happy This record left our Maggie feeling happy.

Now CATS AND CATS AND CATS with Sweet Drunk Everyone. It's more climaxing post rock like Godspeed with a bit of 65 Days of Static. Its a good showing with some cool sounds like a traditional funfair. Its skims a few genres from stage musical to anthemic rock. The occasional rough male singing (which could do with a bit of tuning) breaks up the instrumentalisation of complex guitar and bass noodling. Phil says Cable..... I say very good with some terrific musical almost classical moments...

What the label says:

Biography: cats and cats and cats are five daydreamers.
Since the start of 2005, we’ve expanded from 3 to 6 then back to 5 members, ending up with the permanent line-up that exists as of 2007. ‘Sweet Drunk Everyone’ is our first long player. It was recorded by Lee Richardson (Diverted, Our Own Devices, Mawkin) and is being released by Natural History Records. This press kit and CDR is one of 250 which are being sent out to the media, whilst the actual CD itself is limited to 1,000 numbered copies, priced at around £6.99. The band continue to tour in support of this album.

About the humble CD:

The CD is essentially a small portable face mirror which has an extra feature of being able to play music (through a thing known as a CD player). These CD's are a modern invention hence them being all shiny and digital. They can hold about 80 minutes of music and apparently are indestructible as you can smear jam on them and they still play (not as nourishing as toast mind you but when you're hungry.....). They sound crystal clear and are tiny convenient things. They lack the charm and warmth of their old analogue counterparts but their portability, convenience and ease of being duplicated make them a perfect thing of a thing for most folks. Jewel cases are the worst thing ever though and they really need to stop.
