An indie 7" now after all that techno action..... Deluka with 'I'll Wait' on their own Killsound label. This is uptempo catchy indie pop. They describe themselves as new wave / indie / electro. The first two I can see but electro? Come on that word has been hi-jacked by the fashionistas. It seems any indie or pop music with the use of synths gets called electro these days. I bet Afrika Bambaataa, Arthur Baker, Hashim, Pretty Tony, The Egyptian lover, Professor X and co would be slightly confused. So yeah B-side is a remix by two_ERRORS and indeed is an electronic remix. which is all very polished and trendy sounding. The original is the better of the two.“Female fronted electro skuzz-punk akin to Ladytron snacking on the Killers for breakfast” – NME. “Deluka’s high-pitched riffs and husky vocals cause cerebral malfunction until your feet comply “ – NME Taking on the current wave of hip electro and giving it a serious kick up the behind, Deluka release their second single ‘I’ll Wait’ on the band’s own label Killsound. First single ‘ Stop, Stop’ was a Steve Lamacq favourite with the track being requested by listeners. The new single sees Deluka up the BPM and blister through 2 mins 22 of edgy, agitated pop.
