Cepia brings a one-two punch with a propulsive mix of Mr. Projectile’s “You Need” and an icy reworking of Tiki Obmar. Elsewhere, the ocean beats of “X to M” by Tim Koch are complemented beautifully by the skeleton-hop of “Naoise” by Dosh, while the lush digital grain of original pieces “574” and “Arount” exhibit the versatility of Cepia’s Midas touch. Also including reinterpretations of Fog and Miles Tilmann, Atlantic Blood is a compelling addition to the oeuvre of one of the most original voices in modern electronic composition, and a tantalizing precursor to his debut.
