NOOOW out new on Chemikal Underground records we have SISTER VANILLA featuring the talents of Jim and William Reid (ex Jesus & Mary Chain) with their sister Linda on vocals. A-side is a great discordant laid back rock song with an air of ambivalence about what is contemporary and in fashion. Kind of like Primal Scream but not too crap. B-sides a traditional rock and roll song in an female Oasis mold. Just supported Arctic Monkeys I read again!!Jim and William Reid’s first release together since The Jesus And Mary Chain spilt up in 1997. The Sister Vanilla line up also features Jim and William’s sister Linda and ex-Jesus And Mary Chain member Ben Lurie. First single to be taken from the album ‘Little Pop Rock’. The album arrives at a time when JAMC are enjoying significant retrospective credit for their contribution to the alternative music scene. Single and album coincides with the Reid brothers’ announcement to reform JAMC for California’s Coachella Festival in April.
