Comanechi - My Pussy/ Two Tea Bags

My Pussy/ Two Tea Bags by Comanechi

Read along with Comanechi! It’s The Comanechi Storyteller Seven Inch. Read and sing along with Akiko, Simon and Tim (Part Chimp) as they tell you the tale of Akiko¹s first love: ‘My Pussy’. All recorded live in Tim’s Gimp Cellar. This Gatefold seven comes with the aforementioned, plus exclusive b-side ‘2 Tea Bags’ and the book written and illustrated by Akiko. It is limited to 500 copies and will only be available at the White Heat Records Online Shop and some very select retailers.

When I was a kid my mum used to buy me audio books all the time so as to encourage me to read. I got a Super Ted one, a Thomas The Tank Engine one, and one called ‘Gem’ (they were an 80’s hair metal Josie and the Pussycats and I think they were supposed to be for girls - maybe that’s why I’m weird.) Well, this is White Heat’s way of giving something back. You all stand to learn something here today.

Comanechi are Akiko on drums and vocals, and Simon on guitar. Feral growling backed up by some pounding drums that defy her size, plus metal riffs chunked out by a man that befits his. This gruesome twosome have been kicking up a stink in the London scene. But their noisy tour-de-force has spread further: they’ve got international presence too, playing gigs in Europe and SXSW Austin, as well as touring the UK with likeminded fans The Gossip and Archie Bronson Outfit. A European tour supporting Trencher and DJ Scotch Egg is upcoming this April.
A sound that shouldn’t make you dance but does, a tune so infectious that it cannot be dislodged from the head. This is the sound of Comanechi, Black Sabbath meets Lewis Carroll.
