London based four piece ONE MORE GRAIN's debut outing slides a motorik kraut tightness into free ranging drones - there's a clarity in their confusion which recalls the haywire heydays of Pere Ubu and Can. The brainchild of Daniel Patrick Quinn (whose solo album had been wholeheartedly embraced by The Wire, Times (4* review), Playlouder, BBC Radio, etc etc), he put OMG together during the Summer of 2006 and since they've been making sizeable waves on the venue circuit across the nation. Debut 7-track CD, 'Pigeon English' has "shades of Simon Armitage and Mark E. Smith abound in the album of poetic outsider-folk" (Times)
