Strange Form Of Life by Bonnie Prince Billy

5...according to our on Thu 15 Mar, 2007.

BONNIE PRINCE BILLY's here again this time with a new 7" and Cd single called Strange Form Of Life taken from the album Letting Go. Another peaceful and timeless track with lovely female voice drifting in and out. On the CD we're got 4 tracks and videos. 3 of the tracks are taken from some called "A day Trotter sessions". Just a great voice really. He could be singing anything and make it sound thoughtful. He sings with such comfort and freedom that's its like a long arm from a folk legend. Simple, gutsy and blue. 7" has got Seedling as the b-side which again is a electric guitar doing repetitive things with BPB doing his tortured ramblings over. Free....

‘Strange Form Of Life’ is the fourth track culled from the acclaimed album ‘The Letting Go’. The three additional songs on this EP are from a live radio show, ‘The Day Trotter Sessions’, and are also from various phases of Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy’s storied career. The CD single is also specially enhanced to show two videos directed by Jennifer Parsons, ‘Strange Form Of Life’ and ‘Ebb Tide’, which will create a very attractive pack for the listeners. The three tracks from a Daytrotter session were done during the Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy free tour of Midwestern states in August 2006. The ten year-old songs ‘New Partner’ and ‘The Sun Highlights The Lack In Each’ are delivered in solo performances of Bonnie with guitar. Also delivered is a pre-release version of ‘The Seedling’, the ninth track of the album. Those performances have never been released before and will give a rarity value to the single.
