MICHAEL CASHMORE: "The Snow Abides", Michael writes the music, David Tibet provides the words as sung by ANTONY (of Antony & The Johnsons). Five tracks all thematically linked, musically I'd say it belongs in the modern composition genre with its sparse piano lines, mournful strings all loving spaced to give all three elements room to resonate. Antony's voice attracts varying opinion which on this soulful display only adds to the melancholic dynamic.

instrumental `Sleep England', The Snow Abides mixes fully orchestrated music
composed by Mr Cashmore with lyrics and texts specially written by David Tibet
and sung by Antony. The results are as lush, celebratory and melancholy as you
could hope for..
*The Snow Abides is also Michael's most accomplished and poignant work to date,
solo or otherwise, and is presented in a full colour delux digipak with sticker
