Since their previous five Top 20 singles and gold selling Mercury-nominated debut, Maximo Park have headlined the 2006 NME Awards Tour, played a triumphant headline set at Reading & Leeds Festival and supported New Order and The Rolling Stones. More recently they’ve been extending their worldwide presence, airing new tracks at special shows in China, Istanbul and Moscow. ‘Our Velocity’ is the first single to be taken from Maximo Park’s highly anticipated follow-up, ‘Our Earthly Pleasures’, produced by Gil Norton of Pixies and Foo Fighters fame, due to be released in April 2007.
