MAXIMO PARK with Our Velocity. Heard this on the Radio and hated it and no change has taken place. Sounds like a bands running out of ideas. Also sounds like a band with an ear on the charts and the radio 1 play list which can ruin any edge you set out with (Feeder). Out on Warp. B-sides are softer and less irritating, this time pushing his regional accent. Sounds like Armley park near me that is full of dog poop....Since their previous five Top 20 singles and gold selling Mercury-nominated debut, Maximo Park have headlined the 2006 NME Awards Tour, played a triumphant headline set at Reading & Leeds Festival and supported New Order and The Rolling Stones. More recently they’ve been extending their worldwide presence, airing new tracks at special shows in China, Istanbul and Moscow. ‘Our Velocity’ is the first single to be taken from Maximo Park’s highly anticipated follow-up, ‘Our Earthly Pleasures’, produced by Gil Norton of Pixies and Foo Fighters fame, due to be released in April 2007. The Top 10 beckons for ‘Our Velocity’ with refreshed media attention cranked up to unprecedented proportions for the band’s stunning comeback.·With 4 brand new & exclusive tracks across the physical formats that won’t feature on the forthcoming album, there’s enough to satiate fan demand and take on new converts alike. Maximo Park embark on a huge UK tour throughout April and May, with all dates sold out way ahead of time (including shows at three of London’s largest venues).
