This record left our Phil feeling happy.

I quite enjoyed that WORKING FOR A NUCLEAR FREE CITY album that came out. The early 90's Stone Roses thing coupled with the Beta Band thing they do seems to work. This new single Rocket is more of the same and it's competent gear which fits in with the above baggy type of slacker indie thing. That's about as much as I can muster for this.

What their label says...

Following their critically acclaimed, eponymously titled debut album, the ever-prolific Working For A Nuclear Free City are set to release four brand new tracks as the ‘Rocket’ EP.
Their album found favour with fans of dance music, electronica and indie for its wide-ranging musical styles and
textures. The ‘Rocket’ EP looks set to do the same, encompassing loose, Beta Band-style grooves, neat Krautrock
touches and even a spoken word intro (Shangri-La’s, eat your heart out).
lWFANFC’s confident approach has found favour with many bands - like-minded or otherwise - who have called on the band for remixes: Archie Bronson Outfit, Polytechnic, Shitdisco, The Rakes and Starsailor have all received the WFANFC treatment, although the finished product often sounds more like the work of the remixer than the remixee.

Limited to 500 of each format only.
Tracklist:
1. Rocket  2. Heaven Kissing Hill  3. Stone Cold  4. The Waiting Game
