MODERN BISON fall into my chubby bleeding fists initially. Coming across like a chuntering math rock Harley Davidson, avoiding all the potholes in the road to pay homage to the gods (ie Slint) but there's plenty of touches that remind me of early to mid 90s acts such as Cable, Fabric, Nub & Elevate. I've always liked this kinda stuff lots. Post hardcore emo skronk with loadsa cool time changes & intense varying shades of quiet/loud passion. Good gear. From Modern Bison:
A geographical triangle hailing from Kent, Belfast and Northumberland, Modern Bison formed in Manchester in October 2005 and performed on the city's DIY scene, sharing stages with Bilge Pump, The T.I.T.S and Parts & Labour, amongst others.
Early the next year Modern Bison recorded (by night) all their work to date.
In July 2006 the Bison was put to sleep after just ten months.
2006 - the year of the Bison.
