Here is W.W LOWMAN and Plain Songs on Arbouse Records. Phil's been told its like Bonnie Prince Billy. Its quite slow and down beat and reminds me of being over tired with lolloping bass and repeating vocals.. Really interesting drums intersperse the the EP which I've read took him 3 years to finish. Its certainly sounds like time has been spent with lots of rhythms and variations interjecting into the cooking pot. Yeah apart from the fact it gets a bit crappy Jazzy and dour at times i think this is a really mature interesting listen with enough moments and ideas to fill a big bag with. Lots of instruments make guest appearances here with piano, flute, trumpet all given a good showing off. I shall be taking one home but only play it when I don't spend my evenings with my head in the oven.ww.lowman is the project of Bill Lowman (musician of Chicago, he plays with Jim O'Rourke, L'Altra, Will Oldham...) with the collaborations of Frank Navin (Aluminium Group), Lindsay Anderson (L'Altra/Pulseprogramming), she realised the cover here. There is too Rob Mazurek (Tortoise, Chicago Underground Duo, Mandarin Movies...) on this project...
