Something akin to a marriage of The Clipse, Carl Craig, and Peter Gabriel, the music of DJ Blaqstarr is a messy but a true product of the American inner city. The 'Supastarr EP' is 100% B-More, a black audio subculture with roots in Motown and house, foundations in hip hop, and beats at a frantic130 bpm tempo, grindin' in city streets to late nights in the basement mixing music on stock PC speakers with sirens and crying babies in the distance. Blaqstarr is one of a few young next-gen artists redefining the music that is gaining worldwide notoriety - a dirty house scene growing in isolation for the last 15 years which has now touched a generation raised on crunk and snap.
