Chris Cook lived in Brighton, has been making electronic music of all kinds for many years and operating under the names Remote and Hot Roddy, plays sitar along with his beats at every gig. In 2004, Cook also started to play gigs as Same Actor, using various stringed instruments building up soundscapes on the fly using no pre recorded or pre sequenced material, but playing with alternative tuning systems and world rhythms. Chris is an active member of Spirit Of Gravity collective from Brighton, hosting their radio show on Totally Radio and producing CDRs In 2006 Bip Hop released; "Sharp Edges" and Litmus re-released "CrustMantleCore", Cook moved to
London. "One Liners" is made especially for Wrong on everybody's favourite tracker Renoise, in 2006 when he was a ripe old 28. It's definitely a dark album, lots of instruments, lots of noise but no breaks. It's the first album he made while living in London, which is a noisy place. People Cook has collaborated with or remixed in the past include Urban Myth, Chevron, Kyler (Planet Mu), Bela Emerson, Jane Barthlomew, Rashamon (Highpoint Lowlife), El Maes and Oom. I have had the pleasure of touring with Totally Bored (Monster Bobby, Bela Emerson and Britch) and Wrong Music (Shitmat, Ebola, Droon, nwodtleM, Gross Consumer, Ladyscraper and Floorclearer) Cook has released things (mainly shiny round things) on BipHop as Same Actor, Wrong Music, HeresmycardrecordsUK
