all source material by swiss hardcore-punk legends fear of god, who at that time were erich keller (voice+lyrics), dave phillips (bass+voice), reto kuehne (guitar), and franz oswald (drums). formed in central switzerland in 1987, rehearsed in an abandoned barn, played a few gigs (including a tour with their buddies from napalm death and s.o.b.), released some tapes, a 7" single and a 12"ep, and split up in 1988. they pioneered / founded what would become a genre, and stopped as soon as they realized this. this is a massive collection of exclusively recorded tributes to fear of god. artists include (in order of appearance): sudden infant, eye yamatsuka, mike patton & kid 606, dj smallcock, the glands of the external secretion, jim o'rourke, merzbow, blackjewishgays feat. django,
voice crack, runzelstirn & gurgelstock, the haters,pita and the machine gun tv.  comes in jewel-case with 12-page booklet including 'you can't reason with logic', a short-story by g.x.jupitter-larsen.
