After coming to prominence through his work with Radioinactive and as a member of Boom Bip's band, Los Angeles' Antimc has broken out on his
own with solo meltings of jazz, rock and hip-hop. Antimc's backing tracks complement the vocals of any emcee or vocalist using traditional drum
programming, world-influenced samples and live instrumentation in a way that maintains a hip-hop edge. His extensive understanding of jazz, love of
experimental rock music, and ability to play a myriad of instruments set him apart from a sea of producers.
'It's Free, But It's Not Cheap', the solo debut, is a nine-song collection of sprawling post-rock, dancefloor filling hip-hop, and inspired electronics. The
album features three emcees (Busdriver, Cadence Weapon, and Saafir)& three vocalists “This is expert detailwork - felt first, heard later." - The Wire
