Nooooooow its DAKOTA SUITE with their new album entitled "Waiting For The Dawn Through And Take Away Your Life" on Glitterhouse records. Gently gently is the order of the day. Soft vocals (male and female) sing over subtle drums, understated bass and acoustic guitar. I prefer this band when they are being more instrumental and atmospheric and its not till track 3 that I find what I'm after. Thick padded strings and piano play together with grace and beauty. The space and silence between the hung piano notes is like and iccile down your back and I pleading with him not to sing. They have some nice imagery these lot and i'd like to watch the 70 minute film about the band that comes with this release.Yeah some geniunly beautiful moments (when the trap is shut).Full title: Waiting For The Dawn To Crawl Through And Take Away Your Life
"I am a building surrounded by fire" says Dakota Suite frontman and diehard Evertonian Chris Hooson about himself. Songs about pain and personal
tragedies. As bittersweet as it is, Hooson and his band have formed a marvellous bouquet of songs that will work their way into your inner
psyche. There's nobody in Britain making a finer fusion of lush instrumentation and 3am moods than Dakota Suite. Soundscapes for a desolate and
fractured heart. Comes with a bonus DVD and the 70-minute documentary "Wintersong - a film about Dakota Suite".
