The Tailors - Wakey Wakey

Wakey Wakey by The Tailors

After the success of its 7" series that has included first releases for the like of Bloc Party, The Rakes and Tilly & The Wall, TRASH AESTHETICS is

proud to announce their first album release, the debut album from THE TAILORS.

Recorded over the course of 2006 in the belfry of Greenmount Villa - an old townhouse in Wakefield - on a vintage 24 track tape machine acquired

from the BBC studios. Evoking the bruised beauty of Bonnie Prince Billy and the ramshackle warmth of Lambchop, this is an album of hidden

passages, spiralling stairways and dark corners.

Press : "An ace blend of Will Oldham and Michael Nesmith, with its edgy tones and weirded-out lyrics, ensure this is a narcotic necessity if you like slightly

scruffy Americana." Sounds XP
