Massive Music/ Kode9 & The Spaceape - Find My Way (Kode9 rmx)/ Quantum (edit)

Find My Way (Kode9 rmx)/ Quantum (edit) by Massive Music/ Kode9 & The Spaceape

Split ep on Hyperdub is MASSIVE MUSIC: "Find My Way" (Kode 9 rmx) and KODE 9 & THE SPACEAPE "Quantum" (edit): Dunno bout' you but I thought this Dubstep malarky was the bastard son of Jungle/D n' B. This one's more like a 21st century roots rockers update gone digital with melodica and murderous bass drops which is the raison detre of this scene (unseen) and why people love it so much I guess. The flip is stronger with poetic flows from the Apeman pinned to cinematic washes and analog bass rumbles.

Hyperdub’s first release of 2007 is a two-barrel volley designed to put some spring in your (dub) step. On the A side, Kode9 finally drops his long-awaited bouncing re-rub of Massive Music’s ‘Find My Way’… like Augustus Pablo trapped in ‘Tron’, this arcade game skank has a drop that has caused power cuts everywhere it’s been road-tested from Beijing to Brixton. B side then takes equal honours with a chunked-up and broken edit of ‘Quantum’, the concluding track on ‘Memories Of the Future’, which also happens to be the tune that first catalysed the recording of that album.
