What the label says:Ludvig Elblaus has been involved in the electronic scene since the mid 90s, making music which defies definite categorisation, yet always characterised by a strong focus on rhythmic elements, with an acute sense of groove, beat and all things percussive - at times barely noticeable, but always present. His first solo release was the acclaimed ‘Furious Styles’ 12" on New Speak, but he is probably better known as one of the highly praised duo Frank And Bill, whose releases have appeared on labels such as Skam and Merck, as well as Electronic Desert. Apart from more traditional methods of composition, the 50 minutes of ‘Flannel Poet’ also find Elblaus exploring the intriguing field of automata, employing machines that make music on their own, disregarding all and any attempts at human intervention. ‘Flannel Poet’ is the first in a series of advanced electronics from Scandinavia and beyond. All releases will be limited to 200 copies on high-grade CDR, housed in custom-design digipack sleeves. |
