Hella - There's No 666 in Outer Space

There's No 666 in Outer Space by Hella

Just HELLA from me now with their new psychotic prog odyssey 'There's no 666 in Outer Space' One of those intriguing records that sounds like the band is playing to a totally different audience than the singer who's in his own fucking orbit. It ain't an easy listen guys. But who cares. This is way off centre skronk rock from planet Jazz Head Fuck. Lightening Bolt falling down a mile long staircase made out of blueberry jam, baboons  & razorblades with Captain Beefheart & Ozzy Osbourne in tow. Collapsing music with a pure heart of  man-mental & a soul full of double wrongs. Perfect!

If you like The Mars Volta and System Of A Down, then ‘There’s No 666 In Outer Space’ is for you.
So you think you know Hella? Spencer Seim (guitar) and Zach Hill (drums) - the Sacramento, CA duo with over 10 releases under their belt? Well, think again.
Ipecac Recordings are here to throw you yet another musical curve ball - the reincarnation of Hella as a five piece! Interestingly, two of the new members aren’t new faces to either Spencer or Zach, as both guitarist Josh Hill (Zach’s cousin) and bassist Carson McWhirter were in a pre-Hella band alongside the aforementioned duo.
Upon recently finding Nevada City-based butcher-come-singer Aaron Ross, Spencer and Zach knew that the time was right for a multi-member Hella line-up. Rest assured, the addition of new members has certainly not taken away from the group’s precision sound - it only expands on it.
Snazzy digipack with a 16 page booklet.
