Before making music to shit your pants to at sea XELA was producing quality, pristine melodic electronica. His debut 'For Frosty Mornings and Summer Nights' gets the deluxe reissue treatment this week after being long out of press. This first appeard around 2003 on Neo Ouija however the 2007 issue has been remastered and has 2 bonus tracks as well as gorgeous new artwork by Matthew Woodston. Musically the melodies range from the cold, icy to the warm and familiar. Hence the albums title I expect. The beats are restrained and clicky and the overall production sound shimmers and sparkles. If you're after an album of decent electronica this week then this is well worth a go. CD only on Type.
