What the label says:

Superb 20-track collection of singles, compilation appearances, and  unreleased tracks from London pop duo The Pines—a collaboration of legendary
American songstress Pam Berry and amiable English gent Joe Brooker featuring strong songwriting, intricate guitars, and exquisite harmonies.  Joe is
a prolific songwriter and one-half of English pop duo The Foxgloves, while Pam’s distinguished resume includes association with notable indie bands
of the last decade including Belmondo, Black Tambourine, Bright Coloured Lights plus guest spots on recordings by The Clientele, The Lucksmiths, The Relict, and The Saturday People. ‘It’s Been A While’ includes three songs from an extremely rare  self-released Christmas CD and unreleased covers of songs by Young Marble Giants and The Cat’s Miaow.  A truly essential release for your 2007 shopping list!

About the humble CD:

The CD is essentially a small portable face mirror which has an extra feature of being able to play music (through a thing known as a CD player). These CD's are a modern invention hence them being all shiny and digital. They can hold about 80 minutes of music and apparently are indestructible as you can smear jam on them and they still play (not as nourishing as toast mind you but when you're hungry.....). They sound crystal clear and are tiny convenient things. They lack the charm and warmth of their old analogue counterparts but their portability, convenience and ease of being duplicated make them a perfect thing of a thing for most folks. Jewel cases are the worst thing ever though and they really need to stop.

'What is the voice of song, when the world lacks the ear of taste?'
