Bonde Do Role are officially the biggest thing ever to come out of Curitiba, Brazil. This Diplo-produced track will be on their highly anticipated debut LP on Domino / Mad Decent, but here it is upfront anyway on some proper vinyl for DJs. The original ‘Gasolina’ (which Diplo stretched out for the bonus beats and extended 12” mix) is easily the catchiest track BDR has come out with yet, but it only took one afternoon to fall into shape with Marina and Diplo collaborating on the lyrics. Unruly Records’ Scottie B & King Tutt represent the Mid-Atlantic with a textbook B-more remix (nevermind that these dudes wrote the textbook…), then Buraka Som Sistema slay the fakers on their remix, fusing their Kuduro styles with Bonde’s bastard funk, and it’s even got a verse from Petty, one of the best young MCs out there right now. Paris-via-London-via-NY transplants Radioclit round this thing out with a vicious electro remix that’s already been getting some UK radio burn. Vinyl limited to 800 worldwide, CD limited to1000.
