SKY LARKIN release their debut 7" through Dance To The Radio. This is by far the best thing I've heard on the label in ages. Timeless classic female fronted indie rock..... the chorus is about as tuneful as you can possibly get. Sounds like a million bands but the guitar sound excellent and most importantly the song is really really good. This has a similar effect that superb Screaming Mimi single had on me. One of Two is excellent indeed!! Maggie has piped up Blood Red Shoes.... am also reminded of the brilliant Projects 7" on Track & Field from many moons ago.Described by NME as “Like Bikini Kill playing Grandaddy songs, or a chance stumbling upon a lost stash of Super Furry Animals numbers”, this new three piece from Leeds have shared the stage with Broken Social Scene, Howling Bells, ¡Forward, Russia! and The Gossip. ·The band has been widely tipped by many quarters of the press in the last few months and are sure to continue a storm with this, their debut single.
