Lesley Parlafitt by Bromheads Jacket

BROMHEADS JACKET are back with a new version of their cracking debut single Lesley Parlafitt. Their debut single is the highlight for me and ever since then I've become less interested in 'em. Hearing this again though makes me think that they're clearly a talented bunch of lads. It's not like me to like owt trendy these days but this is a kick ass little tune with a brand new B side which Marquis Cha Cha have kindly stuck on both formats. None of this multi formatting malarkey. Very respectable indeed. Labels take heed! I still record this sounds like Supergrass.... chirpy fun packed classic indie rock tune with melody bursting from it's very seams. Excellent.

The new single from Bromheads Jacket comes in at a breakneck 1.32 seconds, already competition for the shortest single of 2007.  Warning of the perils of a small town mentality, we join ‘Lesley Parlafitt’ putting the world to rights from his bar stool in The Anchor, giving us his view on immigrants and hoping the night will end in a scrap.   Bromheads Jacket have spent the past year touring the UK, popping over to Europe and America, releasing super collectable singles and slowly becoming the biggest underground band in the UK. They have an incredible following for a band that have never sought publicity.   The band have received strong support from Radio 1 and Radio 2, XFM and 6Music.The album is in the Top 20 of 2006 in most credible UK independent record shops, the word is spreading.
