Dextro - Consequence Music

Consequence Music by Dextro

‘Consequence Music’ is the debut album of Scottish newcomer Ewan Mackenzie. Blending the organic with the electronic, the largely instrumental album aspires to the windswept upper slopes where Sigur Ros or Mogwai might pitch camp.   The results are beautifully structured, highly melodic and richly layered electronica that - while making nods to heroes Brian Eno, Neu and Phillip Glass and more contemporary artists such as Ulrich Schnauss and Boards Of Canada - is distinctly Mackenzie’s own.   With a series of remixes planned for 2007, and his own tracks being reinterpreted by leading artists from the field of electronica and dance, Dextro is set to be one of the electronic artists to watch for in 2007.

Tremendous debut from the previously unknown dextro. This is a electronica classic that moves and evokes with intelligent layers of electronics, piano, acoustic guitars and the like. Sounds like a cross between post rock/krautrock and electronica. Timeless.
