Hollowblue - What You Left Behind

Also on Suiteside is HOLLOWBLUE who have a CD single out called What You Left Behind. This features Anthony Reynolds from Jack and I'm not a massive fan of Jack or this if I'm honest. Consequently I can't think of much to say about it.  I guess it will appeal to folks who like aforementioned Jack band, Divine Comedy and other such funsters.

Hollowblue's What You Left Behind is the second chapter of Suiteside Drive, a series dedicated to artists at their debut. But with the high quality songwriting of this band from Livorno, and expecially of their leader Gianluca Maria Sorace, is really hard to tell that this is their first release. Six tracks drenched with romanticisim, travelling close to Tindersticks, Divine Comedy, Gallon Drunk and Nick Cave.
Warm sounds in which you can abandon yourself, thanks to the violin and the organ. A strong style that conquered Anthony Reynolds, once leader of the unforgotten Jack, and who signed as soloist releases on Acuarela and Secret Crush; Anthony created the vocals for Io Bevo, and he took part also in a surrealistic video clip.
What You Left Behind ask you only to be listened letting yourself wandering in its melancholy and sweetness.
