AUTOMOTIVE is yet another alias of the FUNCKARMA brothers who seem to relentlessly keep churning out records. Even on second listen 'The Digi Parker Project' doesn't grab me as being anything particularly innovative or exciting although there are some moments which are very soulful. There's a jazzy feel running through a few of the cuts. Almost like a prog Boards Of Canada. There are enough warm melodies and electronic soundscapes to keep your attention. It does show that these producers can pretty much turn their hand to any electronic style and still achieve admirable results. A decent enough album, however I wonder if it's an album you'd want to come back to more than a couple of times. On Couchblip.The Digil Parker Project is reportedly the work of one of Europe's most prolific electronica duo's.Automotive blends complex electronic rhythms and spatial atmospheres with recorded material from saxophone, clarinet, guitar and electric bass.The result is a finely tuned and unified work that defies what is often seen as two worlds at odds with one and other.
