What the label says:

The Good, The Bad and The Queen is a new album featuring Damon Albarn (Blur/Gorillaz), Paul Simonon (The Clash), Tony Allen (Africa 70/Fela Kuti) and Simon Tong (The Verve).  The album traces a journey from the English music hall tradition, over to West Africa for Afrobeat, zigzagging through the West Indies and its reggae and dub, back to England and London's punk scene, all the while taking in a strand of British beat music from the '50s right through to Britpop.  They have already appeared on Later, and BBC2 are showing their Electric Proms performance on 7/1, followed by More4's Live from Abbey Road performance on 19/1.  The album is preceded by the single 'Kingdom Of Doom' on 15/1 (the follow-up to the #22 hit 'Herculean') and the band play UK live dates in late January / early February.  The DVD with the strictly limited special edition includes 3 live tracks filmed by Don Letts, rehearsal footage + a 30 minute documentary about the making of the album.

About the humble CD:

The CD is essentially a small portable face mirror which has an extra feature of being able to play music (through a thing known as a CD player). These CD's are a modern invention hence them being all shiny and digital. They can hold about 80 minutes of music and apparently are indestructible as you can smear jam on them and they still play (not as nourishing as toast mind you but when you're hungry.....). They sound crystal clear and are tiny convenient things. They lack the charm and warmth of their old analogue counterparts but their portability, convenience and ease of being duplicated make them a perfect thing of a thing for most folks. Jewel cases are the worst thing ever though and they really need to stop.

'What do you want me to say? I f**ked your Daddy in the shower and had a snack.'
